FINALLY . . . COSTUMES!!!

 

 

I'm happy to report that it was a big weekend for us, and I mean big in a positive way! We had very good rehearsals all weekend and again this evening, and I was able to get the juniors out of the auditorium before 8:30, so they could get some sleep before the ACT tomorrow.  It's strange for me to say this--those who know me know that I never say it--but we are in a really good place, and I'm confident the next two weeks will see us put the finishing touches on a great show.  I hope you enjoy the new pictures.  I'll will continue to post more in the days to come.

I thought we'd better get the band represented in a few pictures.  It's a big weekend coming up for us, so there should be plenty of photo opportunities!

Hello All,
First, sorry that I have taken a short vacation from updating the blog, but we are in that stage of the musical production when  four things get added to the "to do" list for every thing that gets crossed off. The good news is that much is getting accomplished, the kids continue to work hard, and I think we will be ready for March 15!

Second, a few bullet point updates for you to know about . . .

• Tickets are now on sale and moving fast--call 635-0210 to get yours!
• Our costumes have been ordered and are set to arrive on March 10!
• We have acquired almost all of the props that we need, and have a plan for the rest!
• The final touches to the set are happening as needed!
• Wireless mics have been rolled out so we can hear performers!
• The pit band has moved out of the band room and onto the stage, so integration rehearsals have begun--BTW: the pit sounds great!
• Our stage crew and student leaders are handling everything I throw at them . . . and still smiling!

Third, a note to parents of junior students: We are aware of the ACT dates next week and will suspend Monday's rehearsal no later than 8:45, so kids can get home and get a good night's sleep.
